It was another busy weekend around L’B’ HQ. Trail Work, Trail Rides, and 29er Trail Wheels were all on the menu.

Sat, we (and by ‘we’ I in no way mean Likin’ Bikin’ – I only help plan and work on these projects with the county while wearing my SHARE MTB hat, and with the cooperation of other volunteer groups and the OC Parks Dept Rangers) … So, “we” finished the newest addition to the Santiago Oaks Regional Park trail system… Welcome to ‘Deer Trail’

Sunday… we ride it!

But that’s not all we accomplished this weekend… I did build the first of many DRC MTB Wheelsets too.

I know!   Wait ’til those gossips  in the RBR sewing circles get together to speculate on how we got it all done! Here’s a hint:  (El Chupecabre was heavily involved)

So, thanks to some sturdy hoops from our friends in Italy, (Monica and Matteo of DRC and Montalbetti) we put together the SSexiest 29er trail wheels this side of the backside next to eastern hemisphere

Rims: DRC (SH18) 29″ single eyleted and powdercoated in snowy-white

Hubs: Misfit SSkulls, of course

Spokes/Nipples: Wheelsmith Dbl 14g and Black brass
