Recent build for a tall rider looking for lightweight, f/s 26″ perfection.
This is the X9 spec from Pivot, enhanced with ano red Loaded Xlite seatpost (and not yet pictured Loaded Xlit stem.. the 120mm was not in yet). Build weight, 26.8 lbs., which is awesome for this much bike!

LB Racer extraordinaire, Mr. Catauro had an awesome 2011 season, finishing 3rd overall in his class at the local EFTA series xc races.
After the season, Anthony was looking for a 29er every-day and “winter bike” to ride while we built up his new, 2012 racer. (The bike check on that racer will be next month… here’s a peak tho)
So for the winter, we did this 1×10 setup Misfit Psycles diSSent AL. Pretty nice “thrasher” eh?

You know, thanks to our customers, we get to build some amazing bikes here at LB. Some you may not even know about. Whether they’re out there clobbering trails, winning races, or both, these are the bikes we and the LB race teams ride.
So today, we’re kickin’ off a new blog category: The “Bike Check”. Here, we will take a closer, part-for-part look at these creations. And to start it off, what better than a new bike from the brand that started it all (at least for this rider)
My first Foes was a 1998 Weasel2. Not only was it my first real trail bike, it’s what I timidly brought to my first beginner DH race, at Snow Summit in Big Bear CA.
Now, after over a decade of riding Foes bikes, I’m still on one. Here is my (Dan’s) latest 2012 Foes Shaver.
